Raggae/rap legend Snoop Dogg is taking his career to the stage with his theatrical debut, Redemption of a Dogg, a stage play revolving around his life and music.

Redemption of a Dogg will have a three-night opening run at Houston, Texas’ Hobby Center starting on October 5 before moving on to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Missouri, Illinois and Michigan. It will also make stops in Ohio, Georgia, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. before closing out the trek in Oakland, California on November 18.

The musical production is in conjunction with Dogg’s 25th anniversary of his debut record, Doggystyle. Redemption of a Dogg is described in a press release as “urban theatre” which delves into the experience of “a multi-faceted character who is a gangsta rapper, family man and man of God.” While focusing on the internal battle between a man trying to preserve his legacy while losing the love of his life, the play will also revolve around his choice between fame and fortune or faith and family.

Throughout the storyline of the play, Dogg’s hits will play in the background, including music from his gospel album that dropped this year, Bible of Love, as well as the record 222. Dogg has 16 studio albums under his belt, so the play has a vast catalogue of songs to choose from. However, it’s likely that his greatest hits like 2004’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Young, Wild & Free” featuring Wiz Khalifa and Bruno Mars from 2011 will be featured during the show.

“I’m excited to link up with my guy Je’Caryous Johnson on Redemption of a Dogg the stage play,” Dogg said in a press release. “Please believe you’ve never seen urban theatre like this! With my flavor and his expertise, we’re gonna bring the people an unmissable show. I can’t wait for everyone out there to see it!”
