Ticket Club, an online event ticketing marketplace that offers zero service fees to members, has just launched a mobile app. As a promotion for their new product, they are offering users more than 50% off the first year of membership to try it out.

Rather than the industry standard secondary marketplace with fees added to the tail end of a transaction that move prices up as much as 30% from the displayed amount, Ticket Club features all-in pricing with no service fees for members. The standard membership rate is $49.99 for the first year and $9.99 to renew for additional years, but that price for those who sign up for new memberships using the app – available on both the Apple and Android marketplaces for those respective devices, is $19.99.

“Ticket Club’s model is all about giving ticket shoppers better pricing in return for customer loyalty,” Ticket Club Managing Director Tim Keefe said. “Having a phone app is a natural fit for this, so we’re happy to add one as an option for our customers.”

Insomniac browser for ticketing professionals

The app, launched this week, features the ability to pinpoint a user’s location and recommend nearby events. Additionally, Ticket Club plans on rolling out features such as Facebook and Spotify Login, allowing users to explore events of their interest, and to be notified when their favorite sports team or artist is holding an event nearby.
