The rockers of The Strokes have hinted at a global tour in 2019, confirming their first two festival appearances in Spain.

According to a press release, the band confirmed their performance at Bilbao BBK Live Festival in Bilbao, Spain next summer. The festival, taking place from July 11-13, will feature acts like Brockhampton, Vince Staples, Thom Yorke, and Weezer, among others. They noted that this gig would “kick off their global comeback.”

Earlier today, The Strokes revealed their second show at Doctor Music Festival in Lleida, Spain. This summer fest, taking place around the same time as Bilbao – from July 11-14 – has announced their first round of confirmed artists, including The Smashing Pumpkins, The Voidz, Tom Walker, The Prodigy, and James Bay.

While the band has kept pretty idle over the past year, members have kept busy with side projects; frontman Julian Casablancas released an album with his band The Voidz and guitarist Albert Hammond Jr released his fourth solo record. However, the group hasn’t recorded new music collectively since 2016’s EP Future Present Past. Their last LP, Comedown Machine, was released in 2013.

Both festival performances will mark The Stokes’ first show since their 2017 tour. They are expected to announce U.S. and international dates in the near future.
