Death Cab For Cutie will hit the road this summer for a North American tour in support of their new record, Thank You For Today.
The tour is set to kick-off on June 7 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, followed by shows in Nashville, New Haven, Detroit, Dover, and Toronto. They’ll wrap-up in Edmonton, Alberta on July 13, followed by a show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Prior to the tour, DCFC will perform throughout Europe and Australia, making stops in cities like London, Paris, Stockholm, and Sydney.
During the trek, DCFC will be joined by acts like the rising indie star Mitski, Car Seat Headrest, My Brightest Diamond, and The Beths. Jenny Lewis, known as a vocalist of the indie band Postal Service in the early 2000’s and a bandmate of DCFC lead vocalist Ben Gibbard, will also join Gibbard on stage for the first time in 13 years.
Thank You For Today, DCFC’s ninth album, dropped last fall, featuring singles “Gold Rush,” “I Dreamt We Spoke Again,” and “Autumn Love.” The LP follows 2016’s Kintsugi and Codes and Keys from 2011. The group is best-known for hits like Plans’ “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” and “Soul Meets Body.”
