Filipina singer and actress Lea Salonga was forced to cancel shows in Hong Kong and Singapore on her upcoming tour after breaking her leg during a ski trip.

Salonga was supposed to visit Hong Kong on February 8, 9, and 10, and Singapore on February 13 and 14. However, the 47-year-old singer said that she took a fall and the injury is going to take longer than expected to heal. Due to doctors orders, she can’t travel for the next few weeks.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must cancel my upcoming tour dates in Hong Kong and Singapore,” Salonga said in a statement. “As many of you know, during a recent ski trip in Japan I took a fall and broke my leg. While we initially hoped to be able to keep the appearances on the calendar, the injury is going to take longer than expected to heal and my doctors have given me strict instructions not to travel for the next several weeks.

“Dissapointing fans is the last thing I would ever want to do, but I must take this time to get back into top shape. We’re working on rescheduling these shows and I can’t wait to see you all very soon!”

The Human Heart Tour is now scheduled to begin on February 26 in Manchester, UK, followed by shows in London, Birmingham, York, Cardiff, and Nottingham. In early April, Salonga will head to North America, kicking-off shows in Costa Mesa, California. She’ll make stops in cities like Winnipeg, Calgary, Indianapolis, New York, and Scottsdale before wrapping-up in Richmond, British Columbia.

Salonga, known behind the voice of Disney princesses Mulan and Jasmine, returned to Broadway in 2017 for the revival of Once on This Island. After portraying Erzulie in 2017 to 2018, she returned to the show for the final performances from December 27, 2018 to January 6, 2019 at Circle In The Square Theatre.
