The rockers of Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World have revealed the 35-city “Summer Gods Tour” for summer 2019.

The tour will kick-off in Los Angeles, California on June 14, followed by shows in cities like Denver, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Nashville. Both bands will return to the west coast to close-out the trek on August 3 in Irvine, California. Throughout the run, Ra Ra Riot will open each show.

Third Eye Blind frontman Steven Jenkins said that the most “scintillating, inspiring collective moments” of his life have been spent outside in the summer when he’s surrounded by music.

“Those sensations travel from when I was a little kid and rock music was brand new to our last Summer Gods tour, when everything is magically new again,” he said in a press release. “I seek to create that exact blissed-out state of aliveness on tour this summer.”

According to Jenkins, the summer tour “feels like more of a festival thing” since Third Eye Blind takes a lot of time deciding who to bring on tour with them. Jimmy Eat World noted in a statement that they are so excited to spend their 25th anniversary as a band on tour in their home country with Third Eye Blind.

Over the past year, Third Eye Blind released the EP Thanks for Everything – their latest release since the 2016 EP Drugs and 2015’s LP Dopamine. The group is best-known for their 1997 bop “Semi-Charged Life” and smash-hit “Jumper.” Jimmy Eat World, best-known for the 2001 tune “The Middle,” released tracks “Love Never” and “half heart” in 2018, their first release since 2016’s Integrity Blues.
