Ariana Grande, who is currently on her Sweetener World Tour, had to postpone two shows in Florida after becoming ill.

She was slated to perform last night at Tampa’s Amalie Arena and tonight at Orlando’s Amway Center. However, the gigs have been rescheduled for November 24 in Tampa and November 25 in Orlando. A press release did not reveal details of the postponement, but noted that Grande is “sorry to disappoint her fans and will look forward to seeing them in November.”

Grande posted an Instagram story yesterday which explained how she is “beyond devastated” about postponing the shows.

“I woke up incredibly sick today, ran to my doctor here and have been told to postpone these shows tonight and tomorrow,” Grande wrote. “I will make this up to you, I promise. Please forgive me. I love you and I will be back and better than ever as soon as possible.”

This morning, she updated fans about her condition.

“Update: we discovered…..that…..I had an unfortunate allergic reaction to tomatoes and my throat pretty much closed,” she wrote on Instagram. “Still feels like I’m swallowing a cactus but slowly making progress! Thank u all for your love and understanding. can’t wait to get back to performing and to make it up to Tampa and Orlando in November. P.S. There is NOTHING MORE UNFAIR THAN AN ITALIAN WOMAN DEVELOPING AN ALLERGY TO TOMATOES IN HER MID TWENTIES…….”

Tickets to both shows will be honored at the new gigs, but refunds are also available at point of purchase.

Grande will stop next in Miami later this month, followed by gigs in cities like Raleigh, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Columbus, and Denver before wrapping-up her North American tour at Chicago’s Lollapalooza on August 4. From there, she’ll perform throughout the UK and Europe through mid-October. She is touring in support of 2018’s Sweetener and Thank U, Next, which was released earlier this year. Both records include smash-hits like “God Is A Woman,” “7 Rings,” “Thank U, Next,” “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” and “breathin.”
