Finneas, who has been producing music alongside his goth-pop sister Billie Eilish over the past few years, will have his own time on stage this fall for his debut headlining tour.
The outing will kick-off on October 15 at San Francisco’s August Hall, followed by gigs at Los Angeles’ Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever, Thalia Hall in Chicago, and Warsaw in Brooklyn before wrapping-up at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club. Ahead of the tour, Finneas can also be found performing at the Austin City Limits Music Festival early October.
Finneas, whose real name is Finneas O’Connell, will be touring in support of his debut EP Blood Harmony, which drops October 4 and features the previously-released single “Shelter.” In a press release, Finneas noted that he had written the track a couple years ago, but put it down and wanted to see “how it would age.”
“When I looked through my music to release this year, I came across the demo and was pleasantly surprised to find I still liked it,” he said. “Usually, I get bored of my stuff almost immediately. I wanted this song to have an urgency to it when I recorded it- the same way the lyrics do- the kind of feverish feeling that accompanies loving someone.”
Blood Harmony will be his first produced work since international hits “ocean eyes” and “when the party’s over,” as well as Eilish’s debut record, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Following Eilish’s record release earlier this year, Finneas has joined his sister on tour, which saw major venue upgrades due to high demand. Eilish and Finneas have garnered massive attention in just a few months, with the record topping charts and tour dates selling out.
