Slipknot’s annual Knotfest will take a new turn in 2020 with one of the year’s festivals taking place on a cruise ship.

The band announced that the festival-at-sea show, which is a “voyage that will awaken your darkest senses,” will take place in the waters around Barcelona on Norwegian Jade from August 10 to 14. Slipknot will join other artists like Megadeath and Belle and Sebastian who have taken advantage of the festival cruise experience. At this time, the full lineup has not been announced, but Slipknot will take the stage for two sets during the event and will likely bring friends and collaborators along for the ride.

Previously, Knotfest has featured performances from acts like Volbeat, Evanescene, and Rob Zombie. During the 2019 edition, which took place on a tour across North America this past summer, the group visited cities like Denver, Toronto, Wantaugh, and Austin with Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth. Knotfest also took place in France earlier this year, and is set to visit Mexico on November 30, Columbia on December 6, and Japan in March 2020.
