Creed is bringing it back to the ’90s with their forthcoming “Summer of ’99 Tour” across North America.
This will mark Creed’s first outing in 12 years. The reunion trek will kick-off on July 17 at Green Bay’s Resch Center. From there, they’ll appear in Toronto, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Houston, and Tampa, appearing at venues like Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheatre, and Xfinity Center in Boston before wrapping-up at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City on September 29.
Several artists will provide support throughout the 40-date run, including 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Switchfoot, Finger Eleven, and Big Wreck, varying per date. One of the shows, set to take place at San Bernardino’s Glen Helen Amphitheatre, is dubbed “Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival,” which will feature sets from 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Switchfoot, Finger Eleven, Fuel, Vertical Horizon, and The Verge Pipe.
Alongside the tour, Creed will perform on a pair of cruises next spring; both “The Summer of ’99” and “The Summer of ’99 and Beyond” cruises will set sail in April from Miami and head to Orlando.
Back in 1999, Creed’s sophomore record, Human Clay, topped the U.S. Billboard charts at No. 1, earning recognition with hits “Higher,” “What If,” and “With Arms Wide Open.” The record helped solidify Creed in the rock scene, following with chart-topping records Weathered in 2001 and Full Circle in 2009. Their compilation album, Stadium Anthems, was just released on October 21.
“The Summer of ’99 Tour” heads on sale November 1 at 10 a.m. with the code “BACKSTAGE.” Tickets are also available on sites like StubHub and Ticket Club, where TicketNews readers can receive a free 1-year membership with the code “TICKETNEWS.”
