The PGA Champions tour announced its schedule next year, as well as the whopping prize pool.

The 44th season, hitting 28 dates, officially kicks-off with a seniors tee at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai in Hawaii from January 18-20, marking the 28th consecutive year the tour has started at the Hualalai course. It will conclude with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Phoenix from November 7-10. Throughout the season, one new event will take place in October — the Simmons Bank Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas.

A $67 million prize pool will be offered.

The five major championships will be held at the following dates and locations:

–Regions Tradition, Greystone Golf & Country Club (Birmingham, Alabama), May 9-12

–Senior PGA Championship, Harbor Shores (Benton Harbor, Michigan), May 23-26

–U.S. Senior Open Championship, Newport Country Club (Newport, R.I.), June 27-30

–Kaulig Companies Championship, Firestone Country Club (Akron, Ohio), July 8-14

–The Senior Open Championship, Carnoustie Golf Links (Angus, Scotland), July 27-30

Tour President Miller Brady said that 2023 was a successful season, which saw a record number of charitable donations.

“PGA TOUR Champions offers the unique opportunity for fans to see golfing legends competing at a high level and after the unprecedented success we’ve seen this year, we can’t wait to kick off the 2024 season,” Brady said in a statement.

There are still two more events during this season as a part of the Charles Schwab Cup Playoff event; the Timbertech Championship on November 5 and the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on November 12. Currently, Steve Stricker is  leading the Charles Schwab Cup standings by 1,945,013 over No. 2 Steven Alker, and according to PGA Tour Champions, is in prime position to win his first-ever Charles Schwab Cup.
