The O2 arena has reported over 2.6 million tickets sold across 200 performances in 2024. This milestone represents a 3.5% increased compared to 2023, according to figures released by AEG Europe.
The past year was marked by a lineup of performances and events, featuring appearances by artists such as Liam Gallagher and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as major events like The BRIT Awards and the C2C Festival. Additionally, 2024 saw a surge in first-time headliners at the arena.
A record-breaking 42 artists made their debut at the venue, including newcomers Raye, Charli XCX, Mirror, and IVE. This figure reflects a 70% increase in debut performances compared to the prior year.
Steve Sayer, the senior vice-president and general manager at The O2, reflected on the record-breaking year.
“2024 is a year that will go down in history at The O2 for a multitude of reasons,” Sayer said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to report another year of record-breaking ticket sales, which is testament to the diversity and quality of our arena programming, with some truly iconic performances this year from Liam Gallagher, The Killers, Raye, and so many others.”
In 2025, the venue is set to host an event in February with Formula 1, celebrating the launch of the racing league’s upcoming season. Additionally, Usher is slated to bring his tour to The O2 for a UK-exclusive, 10-night residency in April.
