Goose to Headline Madison Square Garden In Summer

Jam band Goose revealed new summer shows, including their first-ever headlining gig at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York. The highly-awaited event will take place on June 28, following a series of performances earlier in the month.

In addition to their MSG appearance, the band announced a two-night concert scheduled for June 6 and 7 at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

Before the newly added shows, Goose is set to perform previously-announced gigs in Milwaukee, Toronto, and Grand Rapids. Their upcoming tour will start from Miller High Life Theatre in Milwaukee with a three-night-show from February 6 to 8. Then, they will cross Canada for a two-night sold-out concert at History in Toronto on February 10-11. The jam band will wrap-up the winter leg of their trek at 20 Monroe Live in Grand Rapids for a three night-run from February 13 to 15.

Throughout the spring and summer, Goose will perform at festivals like New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 24, BottleRock Napa Valley in Northern California from May 23-25, as well as Bonnaroo in Manchester on June 13 and Maryland’s All Good Now on June 14-15.

Goose’s own inaugural festival, titled Viva El Gonzo, will run for three days from May 8 to 10 in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. The event will feature three nights of Goose headlining, along with sets from The War on Drugs, Tycho, Dawes, and more.

Formed in 2014, Goose has garnered a dedicated following with their jam sessions, energetic live shows and eclectic sound of funk, jazz, and rock especially since early 2020s. The band currently consists of Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys, guitar), Trevor Weekz (bass), Jeff Arevalo (vocals, percussion, drums), and Cotter Ellis (drums).

They released three studio albums, Moon Cabin (2016), Shenanigans Nite Club (2021), and Dripfield (2022), as well as three EPs: Night Lights (2020), Undecided (2022), and Autumn Crossing (2023). Their discography also features numerous live albums and two singles.

Fans can check out Goose’s official website for ticket purchasing options.

According to the band’s statement on their social media, a portion of proceeds will benefit MusiCares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides essential support to music professionals in need. MusiCares is actively assisting those in the Los Angeles area and the greater music community who have been impacted by the ongoing wildfires.
