Paradise Lost Announce North American Tour
English gothic metal band Paradise Lost revealed a brief tour across the U.S. and Canada this May titled “The Devil Embraced.” The seven-show run will kick-off and wrap up at two metal festivals across the U.S., following their Latin American trek in April and early May.
The band is set to appear at Milwaukee Metal Fest on May 16. Then, they will head to Columbus, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and New York before wrapping-up in Baltimore at Maryland Death Fest on May 24. The metal outfit will be joined by Gigan and Trouble on select dates.
Ahead of their trek across North America, the group will embark on a Latin America tour, set to begin in Monterrey, Mexico on April 24, followed by stops in Bogotá Colombia; São Paulo, Brazil; Santiago, Chile; Montevideo, Uruguay and more. Throughout June and July, they’ll perform in several European cities, including Berlin, Germany; Milan, Italy; London, UK; Bergen, Norway, and more.
Paradise Lost, formed in 1988, is considered one of the founding bands of gothic metal. Their lineup has remained stable, consisting of singer Nick Holmes, guitarists Greg Mackintosh and Aaron Aedy, and bassist Steve Edmondson. Over the years spanning more than three decades, the band has only changed drummers. In 2023, they announced that touring drummer Guido Montanarini had become an official member of the band.
Paradise Lost has released 16 albums so far, including 1992’s Shades of God, 1993’s Icon, 2007’s In Requiem, and others, with Obsidian their latest album released in 2020.
In 2023, the group re-recorded Icon, marking the 30th anniversary of the album.
