Sting Postpones Upcoming Gigs, Cancels Appearances Due to Health Issues

Former Police frontman Sting has postponed upcoming gigs and cancelled appearances due to health issues.

Sting was set to perform at the Bass Magazine Awards in California on Thursday, where he would have been honored with a lifetime achievement award. However, the 73-year-old had to call-off his appearance, citing illness.

He also postponed concerts on his Sting 3.0 Tour; a gig in Phoenix on January 24 was moved to June 1, a show in Wheatland, California on January 26 was moved to May 28, and his performance at the Cherrytree Music Company’s 20th anniversary will now take place on May 29.

“Sting sincerely apologises for any inconvenience and extends his gratitutde to the fans for their understanding,” an announcement reads.

Ticketholders should hold onto their tickets for the postponed shows, as they will be honored at the new show dates.

The English musician, known for his time with The Police from 1977 to 1986, went on to fulfill a successful solo career. He garnered attention over the years with singles like “Englishman in New York,” “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You,” and “This Cowboy Song.” His latest LP, The Bridge, dropped in 2021.
