Celebrity insult comic Chelsea Handler is stepping off the set of her popular nighttime talk show on E! for a couple months to bring her acerbic wit to live audiences across the United States.

The Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang Tour kicks off March 10 at Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, IL, and concludes with a May 29 set at the Colosseum in Las Vegas, NV. The two-month routing includes stops in nearly 30 U.S. markets, including events on March 27 at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, and May 15-16 at Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY.

The spring venture was originally planned with just about 20 performance dates, but was expanded due to demand for tickets when onsales began January 15. As a result, new markets were added to the itinerary, and many of the original markets will now host two performances per evening instead of just one. The complete performance schedule is available on Handler’s official Web site, along with ticketing information.

Fans of “Chelsea Lately” will recognize the tour’s opening jokesters from the arsenal of comedians that regularly appear as guest commentators on the show. Each night will feature a single opening act with Josh Wolf, Guy Branum, Heather McDonald, Jo Koy, Brad Wollack and Chris Franjola all scheduled to appear throughout the tour. Profiles for the touring comedians can be found on the site for Handler’s production company, Borderline Amazing Comedy.

The spring trek follows the release of Handler’s third book “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang” on March 9. Both of her previous works, “My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands” and “Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea” made the New York Times‘ Best Seller List.

“I have made a recent living making fun of every person in Hollywood,” Handler said in a statement regarding her tour, “so I’d like to take this tour as an opportunity to get back to my roots and make fun of myself along with the rest of America and, of course, Spain. Godspeed.”
