Nearly 30 years after the release of “British Steel,” English heavy metal icon Judas Priest will celebrate the anniversary with a special tour of the United States. During the venture, roughly outlined with nine dates, the band will perform the 1980 album in its entirety, as well as other classic hits.

The anniversary tour is currently scheduled to run from July 1 at The Family Arena in Charles, MO, through August 5 at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, CA. Additional tour dates and ticket on-sale information will be announced leading up to the tour.

Most summer performances will feature heavy metal compatriots Whitesnake as a special guest. This is the second time the English bands have toured together, with Whitesnake joining Judas Priest on a headlining tour of South America in 2005.

Judas Priest is celebrating the anniversary of its 1980 album “British Steel,” which includes one of the band’s lasting hits, “Breaking the Law.” Since its release, the band has produced ten additional records, including the June 2008 double-disc concept record, “Nostradomus.”
