Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd will team up in August for their first-ever tour together, hitting arenas across North America. The groups will play a warm-up date in New York City on May 15 before the Rock and Rebel tour stars August 8 in Oklahoma City, OK and concludes Aug. 31 in Hartford, CT after just nine concerts. A betting person would anticipate more for the pair.

Kid Rock’s latest album, “Rock ‘N Roll Jesus,” debuted at #1 and continues to dominate the charts as his new single, “All Summer Long,” is the leading contender for standout smash of the season. Rock, featuring his expanded 11-piece Twisted Brown Trucker Band, will perform the song on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on May 14, the eve of the pair’s show at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

May 15 will mark an historic first in the legendary career of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Lynyrd Skynyrd, it’s their first appearance at Madison Square Garden. Southern rockers Skynyrd have been together since the 70’s and have played shows around the world.
