British folk band Mumford & Sons announced today, June 27, that they will be performing 10 dates across the United States this August.

Things kick-off on in Hoboken, New Jersey at Pier A on August 1 and is scheduled to wrap up in Morrison, CO at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 28. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. EST.

Presale tickets for the Mumford & Sons 2012 Summer Tour went on sale for all ten performances today, June 28 at 12:00 p.m. EST. A check of MumfordandSons.com at 3:00 p.m. today shows that presale tickets are still available for all shows aside from Providence, RI; Canandaigua, NY; and Magna, UT. The presale is available to anyone who visits the band’s website, however, rules are very strict for those participating.

The band’s website lists multiple regulations for those purchasing presale tickets, in efforts to avoid tickets being scooped up by resellers. It is noted that “Anyone re-selling tickets will have their order canceled and refunded without notification.” There is also a limit of two tickets per person. In addition, these tickets are also only available for will call pick-up — no name changes will be allowed once the purchase has been made.

Purchasers were also given the chance to preorder Mumford & Sons’ much anticipated upcoming album. According to Rolling Stone, the album is scheduled to be released on September 24, 2012. Fans attending the band’s performances can expect to hear some of the new songs as well as hits from the debut album “Sigh No More.” The album produced the smash hit “Little Lion Man” which reached No. 45 on Billboard 200 and made it to the top spot of Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart.

Earlier this month TicketNews reported the announcement of four tour dates added to their Gentleman of the Road tour. The “Stopovers” as the Mumford & Sons has dubbed it are scheduled in Portland, Maine (August 4); Bristol, Virgina (August 11); Dixon, Illinois (August 18); and Monterey, California (August 25).

Gentlemen of the Road is described on the band’s tour site as “a day-long event, celebrating the music, food and people of the places we’re visiting. We’ll be bringing a full lineup of our favorite bands from around the world, and curating events that combine a music festival and local gathering into one epic party.”

Tickets to these four shows are currently sold out, according to GentelmenOfTheRoad.com. However, tickets are still available on the secondary market — a search of StubHub.com showed that there are upwards of 100 tickets still available for each of the Stopovers.

Mumford & Sons fans can also see the band perform at this year’s Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival. The three day festival will also other notable performers include Steve Miller Band, Sugarland, and Kid Rock.
