Phish has announced plans for a ten-date summer reunion tour in 2009, answering the prayers of many of the iconic jam band’s “phans.” The recently confirmed jaunt begins with a June 4-5 run at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY, and wraps with another two-night stand on June 20-21 at Alpine Valley in East Troy, NY.

The month-long outing also includes a June 6 stop at Comcast Center in Masnfield, MA, a June 16 set at Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO, and a June 19 gig at Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, IN.

Reserved and general admission lawn tickets are available at $49.50, not including applicable shipping and convenience fees. Public onsales begin January 30 at 10 a.m. (EST), but a limited number of presale tickets are available through Phish’s online ticketing system.

Requests for presale tickets will be accepted through January 17 at 11:59 a.m. and processed in a similar fashion to the earlier presale for Phish’s previously announced March 6-8 shows at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA.

The randomized lottery is meant to dissuade ticket scalping, and the band has issued a statement regarding ticket resales for the March and June tours. “It is strictly prohibited to resell any tickets obtained through Phish Tickets for more than the purchase price,” reads a notice on the band’s ticketing site. The band is threatening to void tickets that it can identify as being resold for a profit, resulting in a payment refund less a $7 processing fee and any shipping charges.

Phish announced the summer reunion shows by skywriting “Phish Summer Tour 2009.” A video of the creative announcement can be viewed at the band’s official Web site.
