Comedian Robin Williams has postponed four performances of his one-man comedy show, “Weapons of Self-Destruction,” due to illness. After experiencing shortness of breath, Williams is being evaluated by doctors, who are recommending a week of rest.

Williams was originally scheduled to perform the Florida-based shows at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood on March 4 and 5, at the UCF Arena in Orlando on March 6 and at the Sundome in Tampa on March 7.

The four shows will be rescheduled and new dates will be announced shortly. Tickets for all performances will be honored once the new dates are set.

Williams’ “Weapons of Self-Destruction” tour is scheduled to resume March 11 in Jacksonville, FL. He has been on a sold-out 80-city comedy tour since September 2008, which will continue throughout the spring, including sold-out dates on his limited Broadway run.

Due to overwhelming demand, three additional shows have been added to his run at the Neil Simon Theater in New York City on April 23-25, in addition the previously announced April 28-29 and May 1-3 for a total of eight concerts.
