Rock veteran Roger Waters still has more than three months to go before launching The Wall Live Tour in North America. But the former Pink Floyd musician has already announced his plans to take the show overseas in 2011.

The European leg for The Wall Live Tour begins next spring with a March 21 event at Atlantic Pavilion in Lisbon, Portugal. Waters will continue his new staging of the classic Pink Floyd album “The Wall” through a June 18 performance at Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Waters’ 2011 itinerary is currently routed through 24 European cities. While the schedule has enough gaps to allow additional stops, the only multiple-night engagements are presently booked for April 1-2 at Mediolanum Forum in Assago, Italy; May 11-12 and 17 at O2 Arena in London, England; and May 20-21 at MEN Arena in Manchester, England.

Presale and onsale dates have not been announced for the European concerts. However, an e-mail notification from Water’s official Web site confirmed that access to the European presales will be conducted by the same lottery system used in North America earlier this month.

“As with the North American tour, RogerWaters.com will offer fans the chance to get premium tickets to the tour with our members-only presales, starting very soon,” read the notification, sent out early on May 27. “Members can log in to their accounts [on tickets.rogerwaters.com] now to indicate interest in up to five cities on the upcoming tour.”

During the North American presale process, fan club orders were limited to two “non-transferrable, non-reusable” tickets. Fans that waited to buy their tickets during public onsales were able to choose the method of delivery for their tickets, but presale orders were limited to Will Call pick-up only.

Despite the limitations on presale order size and ticket delivery methods, Water’s North American presales and onsales landed him at the top of TicketNews’ exclusive event rankings for the week ending May 16, with a prime share of the week’s overall ticket sales. Hot ticket sales on this side of the Atlantic also led to the addition of 12 new North American concert dates.

The new staging of The Wall Live debuts September 15 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON, where two more shows will follow on September 16 and 18. Waters continues his run of the U.S. and Canada through a December 13-14 stand at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.
