The legendary and reclusive singer-songwriter Van Morrison has filled in his sparse summer calendar with a handful of concerts in the Pacific Northwest.

The Northern Irish musician’s four-date calendar focuses primarily on Canadian markets with initial performances lined up on August 4 at a benefit for the Edmonton Folk Festival in Edmonton, AB, and August 5 at Fort Calgary Historic Park in Calgary, AB. Industry resource Pollstar also lists a third show on August 7 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC.

A single stop in the states concludes the brief outing on August 8 at Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA, where ticket sales began earlier this week on June 28. Face values for the lone U.S. show range from $96 to $356 for reserved seats, with a limited amount of general admission lawn seating available for $56, according to Live Nation.

Ticket sales already started in Edmonton, and public onsales will open soon for the troubadour’s appearance in Calgary. Presales run through July 8, with the public sales following on July 9. Ticket prices for that performance range from $75 to $350, according to Ticketmaster.com listings.

Morrison was on the road earlier this year for three concerts in Texas.

Those Lone Star State shows in January came hot on the heels of what had been a busy touring year for Morrison. The acclaimed musician played more than a dozen North American concerts in 2009, from his early year “Astral Weeks” performances to a brief August 2009 tour leg and a somewhat lengthier fall tour of the U.S. and Canada.
