Call her the “artist formerly known as Santogold.” Forced to change her stage name after a legal scuffle with ’80s infomercial business man Santo Gold, newly dubbed rocker Santigold is getting ready to hawk her own wares on a spring tour of the U.S. and Canada.

The 20-date circuit kicks off May 21 at The Warfield in San Francisco, CA, and concludes June 21 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. Along the way, the singer-songwriter will perform a May 31 show at Ram’s Head Live in Baltimore, MD, a June 9 concert at Terminal 5 in New York, NY, and a June 15 gig at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin, TX.

Santigold’s itinerary pushes her North of the Border for two performances: June 3 at Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, ON, and June 4 at Metropolis in Montreal, QC. She will also hit the U.S. festival circuit during the five-week run for a May 25 set at the Sasquatch! Festival in Quincy, WA, and a June 12 appearance at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN.

Philadelphia-based rapper Amanda Blank will provide support on most dates of the tour along with punk-rock musician Trouble Andrew.

Santigold, whose real name is Santi White, is continuing to support her critically acclaimed 2008 debut, “Santogold.” The genre-busting indie record peaked at No. 74 on the Billboard 200, and hit No. 2 on the electronic and No. 6 on the independent albums charts.

She supported the release in summer 2008 with a few supporting dates on tour with Coldplay, as well as her own fall headlining tour in September and October.
