Singer-songwriter John Vesely just completed a successful supporting run with The Fray in Australia and a number of headline dates in the Philippines, but the touring doesn’t end now that he’s back in the United States. Performing under the stage name Secondhand Serenade, the musician has lined up a month-long tour that features a mix of supporting and headlining dates.

The outing begins and ends with Secondhand Serenade supporting alt-rock group the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus on a run most consisting of university and college venues. In between, the one-man band will take the stage at clubs and theaters for a number of solo performances.

The one-month tour kicked off April 2 at Illinois State University in Normal, IL, followed by an April 3 concert at Winona State University in Winona, MN, and concludes with an April 26 performance at the State University of New York’s campus in Oswego, NY. Highlights for the outing include an April 8 concert at Bogart’s in Cincinnati, OH, an April 13 show at The National in Richmond, VA, an April 14 gig at Theatre of the Living Arts in Philadelphia, PA, and an April 21set at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL.

Vesely is touring behind Secondhand Serenade’s second studio album. The February 2008 release “A Twist in My Story,” which was re-released as a deluxe CD-DVD edition in February 2009. The record initially debuted at No. 44 on the Billboard 200, despite a luke warm critical reception.

Secondhand Serenade completed a headlining tour of North America early in 2009, launching his run on January 16 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV, and wrapping February 8 at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT. Vesely followed with his five-city supporting stint with The Fray in Australia and New Zealand.
