Pearl Jam has announced just two North American concerts for August — one in the U.S. and one in Canada — in addition to the band’s sparse festival and overseas commitments. Leonard Cohen also unveiled more concerts, but his plans are for more than 30 stops across Europe this summer.
In special event news, the ninth annual Joey Ramone Birthday Bash is scheduled for May 19 at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York, NY. Also, ticket sales are close to opening for producer George Wein’s upcoming Folk Festival 50 in Newport, RI.
