It may not be the lengthy tour announcement fans were hoping for, but iconic grunge rock troupe Pearl Jam has confirmed two North American concerts this year, in addition to the band’s festival commitments and European tour dates.
The national performances have been set for August 21 at the Molson Amphitheater in Toronto, ON, and August 23 at the United Center in Chicago, IL. Members of Ten Club, the official Pearl Jam fan club, have access to a limited supply of pre-sale tickets through May 6. Tickets sold through the Ten Club are only available for Will Call pickup on the day of the event.
General on-sales for the Toronto show open on May 8 at 2 p.m. local time. Ducats for the Chicago date will be available to the public starting May 9 at 11 a.m. local time.
Pearl Jam has also been named as the headlining act for the October 4 closing day of this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival. Now entering its eighth year, the three-day event is scheduled to run October 2-4 at Zilker Park in Austin, TX.
The rest of Pearl Jam’s brief summer itinerary is currently set overseas with just four arena shows booked in Europe. During the earlier summer months, PJ frontman Eddie Vedder will be on the road alone for a series of U.S. solo shows.
