Industry executive John Ciulla has been named general manager for the San Jose Civic Auditorium by Nederlander Concerts. This is the latest in a series of appointments since Nederlander and Team Jose joined forces to have Nederlander produce and book events at the venue.

The 21-year industry veteran joins the 3,400-capacity historic venue from Lucky Strike Lanes at Los Angeles’ L.A. Live Complex, where he led its opening and served as general manager since 2008. Prior to that, he served in the same position at Dallas’ Smirnoff Music Centre from April 2004 to 2007.

“I have worked with John in the past at Universal Concerts and House of Blues,” said Nederlander Concerts COO Alex Hodges in a statement. “He is a leader with demonstrated success in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and productivity. John has proven himself to be an excellent manager.”
