For the first time since 2005, hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas are making a return visit to Australia and New Zealand with their The E.N.D. World Tour in October.
The quartet — apl.de.ap, Fergie, Taboo and will.i.am — will perform in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and Auckland from October 1-13, supporting their album “The E.N.D,” which debuted at No. 1 in Australia and No. 2 in New Zealand, and has become the group’s first U.S. album chart topper.
Pre-sale tickets will be available exclusively to Visa debit, credit and prepaid cardholders from July 13-15 or until the advanced tickets sell out. Tickets to the general public will go on sale July 20.
The group recently performed at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK with other European summer festival dates lined up. They will also open for U2 on the final dates of their 2009 North American tour in Norman, OK (October 18); Phoenix, AZ (October 20); Las Vegas, NV (October 23); Pasadena, CA (October 25); and Vancouver, BC (October 28).
The album’s lead single “Boom Boom Pow” continues to sit on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 12 consecutive weeks and the ARIA chart for six.
