A string of tour legs carried jam band Of A Revolution, best known as O.A.R., through the spring, summer and fall months of 2009. This year the rockers will continue their hard-touring ways with a fresh slate of dates for the summer 2010 concert season.
O.A.R.’s latest calendar officially opens July 8 at the Lawn at White River State Park in Indianapolis, IN, after a two-day stint at Summerfest on July 1-2 in Milwaukee, WI. Dates are booked through an August 15 set at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Alpharetta, GA.
Other stops along the way include a July 9-10 stand at Charter One Pavilion in Chicago, IL; a July 15 performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO; a July 29-30 run at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA; and an August 12 concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.
Fan club presales begin March 31 in seven cities on the summer calendar. These initial presales are for the band’s engagements in Council Bluffs, IA; Rochester Hills, MI; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Boston, MA; Portsmouth, VA; and Bethel, NY.
Public onsales have already opened for O.A.R.’s July 9-10 stand in Chicago, IL. Additional onsale dates and ticket pricing information are available on the official O.A.R. Web site.
The upcoming tour follows the January release of O.A.R.’s most recent live album, “Rain or Shine.” The two-disc set was recorded over the course of two nights (one of which was unfavorably stormy) at Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion on the band’s summer 2009 This Town Tour.
O.A.R.’s planned two-night stand at Charter One Pavilion this summer commemorates last year’s live recording in the Windy City. On the band’s site, they noted that the July 9-10 concerts “will certainly be an unforgettable weekend.”
