Alternative jam band Of A Revolution, best known as O.A.R., has announced plans for a two-leg jaunt across the U.S. this summer. The 29-city This Town Tour is currently scheduled complete circuits in the Midwest and along the East Coast.
The first leg of shows launches June 5 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, and temporarily wraps with a June 18-19 stand at the Charter One Pavilion in Chicago, IL. The next round of shows picks up August 6 at Meadows Music Theater in Hartford, CT, and ends September 5 at Kool Haus in Toronto, ON.
Highlights for the outing include a June 10 concert at Fabulus Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO, an August 7 show at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, an August 13-14 stand at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA, and an August 27 session at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, FL.
The Wailers will step in with opening support for most June concert dates, trading off with Brett Dennen for a handful of shows early in the month. Dennen will be back as the main support for the late summer, trading duties with singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson on select dates.
O.A.R. is continuing to tour behind its 2008 release “All Sides,” which peaked on the Billboard 200 at No. 13. It’s the sixth studio album for the rockers, who released their previous effort “Stories of a Stranger” in 2005.
Before launching the summer tour legs, O.A.R. will first complete a short club-and-college circuit for mid-spring. The next show is April 3 at The Fillmore in Detroit, MI, and concerts are booked through May 2 at the State University of New York campus in Fredonia, NY.
