Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber has three weeks to go before launching his first-ever headlining tour of North America, but that hasn’t stopped him from nearly doubling the itinerary’s length.
When Bieber announced the My World Tour in March, his calendar totaled 43 concerts and spanned from June 23 at XL Center in Hartford, CT, through September 4 at the Great Allentown Fair in Allentown, PA.
But now the 16-year-old singer has unveiled a 33-date extension that picks up September 5 at Maryland State Fair in Timonium, MD, and will keep him on the road through December 23 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, where his family moved to support his career.
The new year-end itinerary includes performances on October 19 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC; October 25 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA; November 14 at The Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA; November 23 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON; and December 13 at the new Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
Ticket presales for the fall tour leg begin June 9 on the singer’s official fan club, Bieber Fever. The first public onsales start June 11 for Bieber’s mid-September concerts in Canada; remaining public onsales follow on June 12.
Face values for the new tour dates vary slightly from market to market, though most fall within the $30 range on the low end and $50 range on the high end, according to current listings on Ticketmaster.com.
Bieber is supporting his first full-length record, “My World 2.0,” which dropped March 23. So far the effort has sold 1,155,000 copies, according to Neilsen Soundscan’s tally, and is quickly approaching the 1,370,000 mark of his November 2009 EP “My World.”
