The first two dates of Bob Seger’s 2011 Tour were unveiled late yesterday, February 1.

The American rock icon and his famed Silver Bullet band will play March 29 at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw, MI, and March 31 at the Huntington Center in Toledo, OH. The shows were unveiled on Seger’s official Web site.

Seger previously announced plans to tour in 2011, but didn’t reveal any details besides highlighting a handful of states — Michigan and Ohio included — on a U.S. state map.

Toledo onsales open first on February 11, while Saginaw ticket sales follow on February 12, according to Seger’s official Web site. Ticket pricing information has not yet been announced.

Citing an unnamed source, Rolling Stone reported that Seger’s concert tally will be between 20 and 30 dates, and the spring tour will span two and a half months. Details on some of those other tour dates are expected sometime next week, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Seger’s last North American outing started in November 2006 and wrapped in March 2007. It was the musician’s first tour in a decade and saw strong ticket sales, selling out numerous dates in Seger’s home state of Michigan, based on published reports.
