American indie act Dispatch has just two cities remaining on its June reunion tour itinerary. But the rock trio’s shows in Atlanta and Boston won’t be the end of the road.
A new late summer tour leg is taking shape for Dispatch in August and September. Three new concerts have been added, bookended by previously confirmed performances on two stops of the DMB Caravan: August 27 on Governor’s Island in New York, NY, and September 4 at The Gorge in George, WA.
The most recent additions to Dispatch’s headlining calendar are set for August 28 at Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, PA; August 30 at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO; and September 2 at McMenamin’s Edgefield Amphitheater in Troutdale, OR.
Public onsales open June 24 for the three headline gigs. Ticket face values are set at $40 for the Bryce Jordan Center show, according to Ticketmaster.com. The Edgefield venue Web site lists GA ticket prices of $40 (advance) and $43 (day of), both including a $1 charity fee.
Passes to the DMB Caravan dates went on sale June 10.
Dispatch confirmed plans for the 2011 reunion tour early in 2011, beginning the venture with a touch of controversy. The band fired off a message that blasted ticket brokers for listing event tickets on the secondary market before the start of public onsales on the primary market. Just over a week later, Dispatch was forced to revise its 2011 concert calendar due to slow ticket sales.
Before launching into the new late summer tour calendar, Dispatch will wrap its current U.S. itinerary. Upcoming shows are set for June 21 at Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA, and June 24-26 at TD Garden in Boston, MA.
