With its induction into the Grand Ole Opry still fresh, country trio Rascal Flatts has unveiled brand new tour plans for the fast-approaching New Year.
The band’s 2012 tour calendar presently opens January 12 at the Civic Center Coliseum in Charleston, WV. Only nine dates have been revealed so far, with the itinerary stretching through a February 18 event at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ.
Other stops on the winter trek include a January 14 show at Giant Center in Hershey, PA, and a January 26 gig at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. Opening acts are Sara Evans and Hunter Hayes.
Presales open today, October 11, for the nine-date tour. Public onsales will follow later in the week, with ticket sales scheduled throughout October 13-15, according to the band’s official Web site.
Exact ticket prices vary from market to market, but most stops fall within the same general pricing range (before applicable fees). Columbus boasts the lowest ticket price in the range at just $22, while East Rutherford sets the high end for ticket prices at $66.25.
Most recently, the trio performed at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN. The appearance was part of the group’s October 8 induction ceremony at the historic music venue.
Rascal Flatts has at least two more appearances scheduled ahead of the early 2012 tour, including an October 16 show at Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, OK, and another stop back in Nashville for a November 10 concert at Bridgestone Arena.
Considering the length of Rascal Flatts’ early 2010 tour leg and early 2011 tour leg, it’s likely the group will unveil more dates for its 2012 trek before long.
