Willie Nelson Announces Rescheduled Date For Outlaw Music Festival
Willie Nelson was scheduled to headline Outlaw Music Festival in North Carolina last month, but he abruptly left the stage before his set without an explanation. Now, the country star will return to for a rescheduled show on June 20.
When Nelson left the stage, the crowd was confused and rumors began to spread about his weird departure. Fans were furious after waiting around for hours without any explanation. Later that night, Live Nation released a statement, citing illness and asked fans to hold on to their tickets.
Luckily, the fans who were upset have another chance to see the show they had hoped for. Nelson will return to PNC Music Pavilion once again, joined by The Avett Brothers and Jamey Johnson, along with openers Sarah Shook and Disarmers. After the show in North Carolina, the festival will continue with 15 more stops, hitting cities like Cincinnati, Detroit, Dallas, and Toronto before wrapping up on September 23 in Saratoga Springs, New York. Various artists, including Van Morrison, Neil Young + Promise of the Real, Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile and Alison Krauss, will join him on select dates.
Tickets originally purchased for the May 26 show will be honored the night of the new show, with no exchange necessary.
