To celebrate their 30-year anniversary as a band, Smashing Pumpkins will head out on a brief tour this fall.
The group just finished up their massive reunion Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour with the three founding members last month. In August, they played a special 30th year anniversary show in Holmdel, New Jersey with guest acts like Courtney Love, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno and Killers members Dave Havok and Mark Stoermer, among others.
To keep the celebration going, Smashing Pumpkins will play shows in London and Bologna, followed by seven U.S. dates. The U.S. shows come right after Smashing Pumpkins’ new album, Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1/LLP: No Past. No Future. No Sun., drops on November 16. Starting on November 28 in Madison, Wisconsin, the group will make stops in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona, before wrapping up in Phoenix on December 7.
The new LP follows 2014’s Monuments to an Elegy and 2012’s Oceania. On the anniversary tour, the group is expected to play some of their greatest hits, including 1993 tracks from Siamese Dream “Cherub Rock” and “Today” along with Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness‘ “1979” and “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.”
