Live Nation Entertainment is working to expand throughout Asia, recently announcing its acquisition of the Malaysian promoter PR Worldwide.

The promoter, which formed 20 years ago, has partnered with Live Nation numerous times, bringing together tours for artists like Bruno Mars, Charlie Puth, and Why Don’t We. PR Worldwide is known as one of the prominent live event businesses in the region and has promoted shows in Asia Pacific like Disney On Ice, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, and Mariah Carey. Now, Live Nation has bought a controlling interest in the company.

Live Nation Asia & Middle East President Paul Antonio said in a press release that Asia is an “extremely important region and growth for Live Nation,” and together, the acquisition will help the promoter giant “become the leading international concert promoter in Malaysia.”
