Willie Nelson & Family will be on the road again in 2021, headlining a 14-date Outlaw Music Festival tour scheduled to begin on August 22 in Austin, Texas. The legendary outlaw country performer will be joined by a variety of acts on various dates, depending on the city.
“The Outlaw Music Festival Tour has always been about family and friends coming together for a great day of music and fun,” says Nelson. “With the amazing group of artists joining us, this year promises to be our most special Outlaw Tour to date. I just can’t wait to get back on the road again.”
Acts joining Nelson & Family on the tour include Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Gov’t Mule, Lucinda Williams, Ryan Bingham, Margo Price, Yola, Kathleen Edwards, and Ida Mae. The breakdown of who is performing in each tour stop is included below.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, May 27. There is also a special presale opportunity that opened Tuesday, May 25 for Citi credit card holders.
Nelson has been performing since the mid-1950s, and turned 88 in April. He was scheduled to be among the headliners of the 2020 Rodeo Houston event, but that was called off due to COVID. During the extended pause, the singer performed for a number of charitable benefit streaming shows, but will be back on tour in the flesh this summer.
