A new wave of casting announcements has been added to Broadway’s “Stranger Things: The First Shadow.” The production is slated to begin previews on March 28, at the Marquis Theatre, with an official opening on April 22.

The newly announced Broadway cast features Rosie Benton as Virginia Creel, Alex Breaux as Dr. Brenner, Nicky Eldridge as Bob Newby, Andrew Hovelson as Principal Newby, Alison Jaye as Joyce Maldonado, Emmy-nominated actor T.R. The new stage adaptation is based on an original story by Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers, alongside Jack Thorne and playwright Kate Trefry, who also penned the script. Set in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1959, The First Shadow serves as a prequel to the Netflix series, delving into the origins of Henry Creel and his transformation into the ruler of the Upside Down.
