Pop rock staples Maroon 5 and Train are joining forces for a co-headlined tour that will take them across the United States and Canada through the late summer months.

The shared tour launches July 22 at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, CA. Destined for 40 cities over a two-month period, the venture wraps September 24 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, TX.

Scheduled stops include July 28 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO; August 12 at the Jones Beach Theatrer in Wantagh, NY; August 24 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD; September 4 at Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, MO; and September 16 at Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas, NV.

The coast-to-coast routing includes five engagements in Canada — mostly in the western provinces, aside from a mid-tour show August 22 at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON. Later events include September 7 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB, and September 10 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB.

The first public onsales are spread during an April 29 to May 2 window. Ticket face values for the tour are all over the board, beginning as low as $17.50 in some cities (Mansfield, MA) and reaching up to $172 in others (Clarkston, MI).

Both headline acts completed tours of their own within the past year. Train launched a spring 2010 tour with dates stretching through the summer. Meanwhile, Maroon 5 followed its packed summer 2010 schedule with a fall 2010 tour extension.

Singer-songwriters Gavin DeGraw and Matt Nathanson will trade off opening duties during the tour. Aside from select state fair dates featuring only the co-headliners, DeGraw will perform July 22 through August 26, with Nathanson stepping in August 28 through September 24.
