Disney Music Group stars Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato will hit the stage with other performers on September 14 at Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA, as part of Disney’s Concert for Hope, a benefit concert supporting cancer research and treatment programs at City of Hope hospital. Tickets go on sale August 16.
“We are honored and grateful for the generosity of Disney…and the dedication of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers in supporting the lifesaving work of City of Hope,” said Michael A. Friedman, M.D., president and chief executive officer, City of Hope, in a statement.
The concert continues Disney and Cyrus’ support of City of Hope. Last year, Disney donated $1 from every ticket sold during her highly successful “Best of Both Worlds” concert tour to cancer research at City of Hope. The concert series raised more than $1 million.
City of Hope’s Music and Entertainment Industry chapter was founded in 1973 by a group of key industry executives. The chapter has grown to include all the major music labels such as Universal Music Group, Disney Music Group and Warner Bros. The industry has raised more than $69 million through benefits, promotions and partnerships to support ongoing programs at City of Hope.
