The Madison Square Garden Sports Corporation announced a new Official Jersey Patch Partnership between the world-renowned Las Vegas entertainment venue Sphere and the New York Knicks, uniting the MSG brands.

James L. Dolan is the CEO of MSGSC and Madison Square Garden Entertainment, which own the Knicks and Sphere respectively.

As a part of the partnership, the Sphere logo will appear on all Knicks game jerseys for both home and away games, which launched during Wednesday’s match between the Knicks and Boston Celtics. The logo will also appear on Knicks practice jerseys, warm-up shirts, and Jerseys sold at Madison Square Garden arena’s retail locations.

“This pairing brings together two globally-recognized brands – a revolutionary new venue that is literally changing the way people experience live entertainment, and one of the most recognized franchises in professional sports – to create an innovative partnership at the intersection of sports and entertainment,” MSG Sports president and COO David Hopkinson said in a statement.

Sphere, the $2.3 billion venue that just opened in Las Vegas on September 29, offers cutting-edge technology, providing audiences with an immersive show. To debut the venue, U2 kicked-off a residency dubbed “U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere.” Due to high demand, the rockers extended the residency through 2024.
