With a new album on the horizon, singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow is putting the finishing touches on an itinerary that will keep her on the road for most of the summer.
Crow begins her summer with a festival-saturated, 12-date tour leg that kicks off June 11 at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, TN, and wraps June 26 with a set at the sold-out Crossroads Guitar Festival in Bridgeview, IL. During that two-week period, the singer-songwriter will also appear on June 13 at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, IL, and June 24 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI.
The second leg of Crow’s headline tour launches in late summer, running from August 12 at Meadowbrook Pavilion in Gilford, NH, and concluding with a September 14-15 stand at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA. The 15-date block also includes engagements on August 15 at koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, NC, and August 31 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.
In between these two rounds of touring, Crow will join the Lilith Fair caravan for the traveling festival’s first outing in a decade. She’ll perform afternoon sets at the first five events of Lilith’s 2010 season — from June 27 at McMahan Stadium in Calgary, AB, through July 3 at Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA.
Public ticket sales begin April 17 for her Red Rocks Amphitheatre show, April 23 for her Ironstone Amphitheatre gig, and April 26 for both Mountain Winery concerts. Additional information on tour dates and ticket sales can be found on Crow’s official Web site.
Crow is awaiting the July 20 release of her seventh studio album, “100 Miles from Memphis,” an R&B and soul-tinged record. The effort follows 2008’s “Detours,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Since her 1993 debut “Tuesday Night Music Club,” all of Crow’s studio albums have peaked within the top 10 positions on the album chart.
