There are many items available for purchase on a layaway plan but concert tickets? In what may be a concert industry first, promoters Goldenvoice, The Messina Group and Moore Entertainment Group are offering a layaway plan for the third annual Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA on April 25-26, 2009.

The layaway options for tickets and camping are available to festival goers only online, and single day tickets and parking lot tickets are not available for layaway plans. There are two layaway plans available: the first requires 50 percent down plus Ticketmaster fees with the remaining 50 percent automatically deducted from your card on April 19, 2009; the second plan requires 10 percent down plus Ticketmaster fees, with the remaining total automatically deducted in equal payments on the 9th of each month moving forward and the final payment deducted on April 19, 2009.

Default on payments will result in loss of deposit and cancellation of the order. However, if a payment is declined, the purchaser will be granted a 10-day window to reply to Stagecoach’s inquiry with updated payment info. Layaway ticket orders will be shipped via Fedex, and only once final payment is received.

The final date for registering for the layaway options is February 28, 2009, and there are no refunds. Regular ticket prices range from general admission $79 single-day and $99 weekend passes, to $399, $499 and $799 reserved seating options for both days. Minimal venue and charity charges are not included in the face value of tickets.
