Is there a rampant case of bronchitis on the road? Staind frontman Aaron Lewis is the latest singer to come down with the condition, forcing the band to cancel its December 8 show at the Sound Academy in Toronto, Ontario.

Lewis is now under doctor’s orders to rest his voice for a minimum of three days, according to a statement from promoter Live Nation. Refunds for the concert are available at the point of purchase.

Other artists who also have had to cancel recent concerts due to a reoccurrence of bronchitis include Cher and Lenny Kravitz. Cher had to cancel her last two 2008 shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, and Kravitz wound up canceling the remainder of his Canadian tour last month.

At press time there was no indication as to whether the Toronto date will be the only one canceled. The next show on Staind’s current tour is scheduled for the Fillmore in Detroit, MI, on December 10. Staind is touring in support of its sixth studio album, “The Illusion of Progress,” which was released on August 19.
