Tickets to upcoming performances from Dave Matthews Band, as well as tickets for Nickelback’s upcoming concert tour, are on sale throughout the week ending March 14, as compiled by TicketNews.
This week’s onsales begin with tickets to catch Elton John and Billy Joel’s Face 2 Face Tour when it stops in Washington D.C. Tickets are currently available for additional stops all across the country. On sale Wednesday are tickets to see The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, live in concert in Virginia.
The rest of the week offers tickets to a slew of upcoming concerts, including quite a few from today’s hottest country acts. Keith Urban has both joint appearances and solo shows in the onsales, as the country star will be joined by rising teen star Taylor Swift on several of his upcoming tour stops. Urban will be flying solo in Denver and Salt Lake City, but will be joined by Swift in New York City and Charlotte, NC. Tickets for the Charlotte show are on sale Friday, while the other shows are in the Saturday onsales.
Continuing with the country trend, country legend George Strait has a show in the Saturday onsales. Strait will be appearing in Hildago, TX. Also in the Saturday onsales are tickets to catch country heartthrob Kenny Chesney in Indianapolis and Texas. Rounding out the country crooners with concerts is Alan Jackson, who has a show in Beaumont, TX on sale Saturday.
But this week isn’t all about country. Several rock acts also have concerts on sale. Dave Matthews Band has several shows on sale throughout the week, including stops in Tampa, Kansas City, Hartford, and Chicago. On sale Friday are tickets to see The Fray in concert in Phoenix, Albuquerque, and Vancouver. Finally, Nickelbacks’ upcoming national tour kicks off in the Saturday onsales, with concerts in Chicago, Hartford, and Charlotte.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
