Comedian Dane Cook will keep the laughs coming in North America as he launches the second leg of his Global Thermo Comedy Tour. Phase two of the tour kicks off with a September 4-6 run at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, NJ, and continues after a month’s break with another multi-night engagement on October 9-10 at The Joint in Las Vegas, NV.
So far, 30 performances have been confirmed in the United States and Canada, though venues are still forthcoming for most dates booked north of the border. Cook’s high-octane brand of comedy will be on the road on-and-off through a February 6 event in Sunrise, FL.
Highlights of the tour include shows on October 17 at Sommet Center in Nashville, TN; October 24 at Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA; November 5 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY; and November 28 at Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, HI. Venue announcements are forthcoming for gigs on November 21 in Calgary, AB; December 12 in Montreal, QC; and December 31 in Boston, MA, among other dates.
In addition to the cities that await venue assignments, date announcements are also on the horizon for more U.S. cities, including Rochester, NY; Hershey, PA; and Tallahassee and Jacksonville, FL. Two more dates will also be announced for the Canadian portion of the tour, which is also bound for Halifax, NS, and Regina, SK.
Presales for the current itinerary begin today, August 26, and continue until 10 p.m. local time on August 27. The first public onsales will start August 28, and additional onsales will follow in September for the cities where venues are yet to be announced.
“I’m really looking forward to playing many different areas of the country where I have never been before,” Cook said in a statement, adding, “and I’m excited to perform for my fans who have supported me throughout the years, but who have never had a chance to see me live.”
Cook launched the first leg of the tour in spring, ultimately visiting more than 30 North American markets. According to a press release, more than 400,000 people attended the first phase of the tour, which supports Cook’s latest comedy album, “ISolated INcident.”
