Tickets for upcoming concert dates from singer Chris Brown as well as tickets to the upcoming 2011 NFL season are on sale throughout the weekend ending August 29 as compiled by TicketNews.
Although the regular season is just a couple week away, tickets for two NFL teams will go on sale this weekend for their upcoming home seasons. First, the New York Jets have tickets for their 2011 home games on sale Monday. The Jets are coming off a successful 2010 season which saw the team make it to the AFC Championship game, which they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Also on sale this weekend are tickets to the 2011 home games for the Seattle Seahawks. Following an uneven 2010 season, which saw the Seahawks making the playoffs despite a sub-.500 record, the team will look to better their in-season play despite the departure of former starting quarterback Matt Hasselback.
Also among the weekend onsales are tickets to the upcoming season for select NHL teams. Among today’s onsales are tickets for the New York Islanders. The Islanders are coming of a disappointing 2010-2011 season in which they failed to make the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. Among the Saturday onsales are tickets to the Anaheim Ducks’ upcoming season. The Ducks will be looking to rebound from their first round playoff loss from last year, and bring home their franchise’s second Stanley Cup.
Tickets for Chris Brown’s upcoming tour top this weekend’s concert onsales. The R&B singer, who has had a successful year with several hit singles from his latest album F.A.M.E., has concert dates in Tampa, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, and Dallas among Monday’s onsales. Wrapping up the weekend’s concert onsales are tickets to an upcoming show from Duran Duran. The ’80s superstars are on the road promoting their latest album, “All You Need is Now,” which features all but one original band member. Their concert in New York City is on sale Monday.
