Singer D’Angelo and the Vanguard have announced dates for the North American leg of the “Second Coming” Tour. The shows come in support of the R&B singer’s critically acclaimed 2014 album Black Messiah.

The tour includes a Saturday evening visit to the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and a performance with Gary Clark Jr. at Forest Hills Stadium in New York. See below for a full list of dates.

D’Angelo’s backing band the Vanguard features an all-star ensemble including The Who bassist Pino Palladino and The Time guitarist Jesse Johnson. Drummer Chris “Daddy” Dave played on Adele’s Grammy Nominated album 21 while singer Kendra Foster has performed with Parliament/Funkadelic.

Black Messiah is D’Angelo’s first album since

Voodoo

which was released in 2000 and won the Grammy for Best R&B Album. Tickets for select dates go on sale on Friday May 1st at 10:00 AM.
